Inspired by late Edwardian dinner dresses, the dress is intricately draped with a bow below the waist and a slight bustle at the back, with stiffened, off-the-shoulder straps. The Princess wore this dress to a State Dinner at the White House given by President and Mrs. Reagan, at which she danced with John Travolta.
