Each year, the Humanitarian Rose Gala is held in the private State apartments of Kensington Palace to recognize outstanding leaders who have demonstrated that they share the late Princess’ commitment to assist the less fortunate.  At the Gala, these leaders receive The Humanitarian Rose Award to honor the spirit of their own  compassion which they use to effect positive change for those whom the late Princess cared for so deeply.  The award is named for the title of “England’s Rose” that was given to the Princess following her tragic death.

Kensington Palace provides an intensely historical backdrop for this event given that it was also the birthplace of Queen Victoria in addition to being the home of Princess Diana and the location of the Ceremonial Dress Collection which dates back to the 18th century and the reign of King George III.  Numerous rooms and areas that are not available to the general public are the site of the evening’s activities.  This is an evening steeped in elegance and history – all in the service of humanitarianism.
